Knitting is fantastic for kids! It helps them learn to follow written instructions, develops fine motor skills, and can be a fun way to reinforce basic math (or even not-so-basic math, haha.) And at the end, they’ve made something beautiful and warm! Plus, when they’re in college and all their friends are just now learning to make garter stitch scarves because it’s “the in thing,” they can totally blow their socks off with their cleverness.
