Design a Semi-Circular Shawl, with Melissa Goodale

How embarrassed am I? I had the wrong date for the class! Melissa will be here on SATURDAY, OCTOBER 22ND, to teach the class, NOT the 16th, as I had initially indicated.

As a part of our Stick Chick Knits Trunk Show, Melissa will be here on Saturday, October 22nd, to teach a very special class. Design your very own semi-circular shawl!

Part of the beauty of this style of shawl is you won’t need a gauge swatch. Isn’t that special? So what do you need to bring to this class? A skein of yarn and needles that will make a nicely draping fabric with that yarn (circular around 24-32″ are our favorites, but you could technically work this on straights). Any yarn will do, but Melissa suggests something between fingering and DK (though the technique will work with any weight) and it’s got to be a nice, smooth yarn (no boucle/novelty type yarns). If you’ve got a favorite stitch dictionary you should bring it too. Otherwise Melissa will have a couple options worked up in the handout.
