Custom Glove Class, Oct 1&8, 1-3pm

Gloves are awesome.

Fingerless mitts are superfly and all, but sometimes you just want a good old fashioned pair of gloves. Not chunky mittens, not those Fred Meyer $1.99 specials, but real, actual, simple yet elegant hand-knit gloves. Michelle Molis, Twisted teacher extraordinaire, is going to show us how to do it. What a great gift for yourself OR your loved ones this holiday season. The class is $40 for two 2-hour sessions. Check out how very much we love these gloves:


When is this class happening, you ask?
Date/Time: Saturdays, Oct 1 and 8; 1-3pm (note time change)
-OR- Saturdays, Nov 5 and 12; 3-5pm

Materials: 200-300 yards fingering-weight sock yarn and US size 2 double pointed needles, or size to give you a gauge you like.
Includes: Glove pattern by Michelle Molis Skills learned: Yarn over, slip-slip-knit, reading a chart
Homework: Students should do a stockinette gauge swatch, preferably in the round, in the yarn they would like to use for the gloves. The shop samples are made of Trekking Maxima, color 903, on size US2 needles, with a gauge of 7 stitches per inch.
